Tweety dissed the Chimperor top to bottom on his show this morning |
|
He said 9 of 12 experts he asked think the Boy King's presidency is a total failure.
He said he's got all the wrong ideas and no $$ to make them happen.
The word delusional was used in the same sentence with Iraq and Bush.
"He's clearly not a conservative, and the war was wrong from the start."
It could only have been worse if they had video of W humping a black male prostitute while shooting heroin wearing an inverted cross.
I kinda liked it! :bounce:

Chided the Neocons about "democratizing" the Middle East. But his criticism wasn't very strong and mostly blames the Iraq War on Democrats for their lack of opposition -- which is totally off base.
I'm not watching Tweety any more. He's unfair and biased.

36. Wrong. Tweety came out against the war. Wrote a long column about it. |
|
But after the invasion began, he was jumping up and down with delight and fervor. He undoubtedly saw what happened to Phil Donahue, who had the highest rated MSNBC program when he was axed because MSNBC was uncomfortable with his anti-war stance.
Donahue was fired, in my opinion, to keep people like Matthews in line.

If they were really journalists, they would not be trying to tailor their analysis and questyions to appease eitehr left or right.
They'd simply ask tough questions of both sides in the interest of getting to the truth.
They'd also do some actual homework, and take the debate beyond the "spin." They wouldn't merely browbeat guests with the "talking points" of the other side, but would actually ask probing questions to carry the discussion beyond the gridlock of Dueling Spin.

This is a context of "what would it take for his followers to turn on him?". I believe his success is based in our country's bigotry. He makes bigotry seem respectable. So, while his supporters would think it was cute if he chased white tail, they'd feel betrayed if they had to see him "with" a black person of either gender.
No disrespect of our board was intented.

|
Edited on Sun Feb-05-06 11:52 AM by kenny blankenship
and if there's any difference between his foreign policy and the foreign policy of Reagan it's simply that Bush's version of global domination is more visible and more visibly murderous. Reagan also killed tens of thousands of people, all around the world but particularly in Central America. Bush's imperial adventures are launched under our own flag making them more obvious than Reagan's covert wars in Central America and in the Persian Gulf (where Ronnie waged a multiyear undeclared war against Iran in international and territorial waters). Bush's murders are thus more obvious and so too are his failures. Republicans may like to say that "Bush is no conservative" because he's such a disaster; but they can hardly deny that he has acted out ALL the things they always said were conservative values in policy, with the singular exception of his profligate spending. But for that matter, NO elected Republican has walked that talk in my lifetime anyway so that's just more of their bullshit. "Conservative" priorities in foreign policy are simply a disaster, a TOTAL FAILURE just as their social policies are a disaster, and just as their "fiscal restraint" rhetoric is total bullshit which in practice and as a matter of historical fact, has proven itself to be totally incompatible with their tax-cutting, economy gutting, global-warfareing, "conservative values".

he has always been reasonable on his Sunday morning show, it is VERY different from his evening show.
The Sunday talk shows are a different format. Evening infotainment shows is a bunch of white men screaming at guests. He plays that then.
His also has no "guests" on his Sunday show, its all other journalists. He won't eat his own.

I've looked for TV show ratings (Olberman lately) and they are difficult, if impossible to find.
I have no idea which show gets better ratings. I've heard Olberman does better than his nightly show (yea!) but, as I said...finding out?
So what's up with that? I can find out how many time zones there are on the moon but I can't find TV ratings on the internet. The people who know the ratings are better at keeping secrets than the CIA.

to make sure the boy king got re-elected. I KNOW that for sure-I watched "Tweety" up until just about november 2004. His trashing of Kerry-mean-vile stuff-including Teresa got to be too much and that's when I vowed to never watch him again. He will go down in journalistic history for the hack he is. He never has a decent word about Democrats-and from what I hear (I didn't watch him during the Clinton years) he never has. Defending him on a message board called Democrtatic anything is the height of irony. And he is worse than all the rest because he claimed he was a Democrat for a long time-even though he admitted to voting for Bush in 2000. ( He despised Gore, apparently-yeah Gore is a real man to despise isn't he?) He's the blatant traitor in our midst with the million dollar paycheck who spends his off time hobnobbing with everyone we know is against us.
