Lieberman backs McCain, blames Obama for not being clear
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2006/02/08.html#a7069

The media knows John McCain is a hot head who has trashed journalists before so his response to Obama was really no surprise. I was wondering where Lindsey Graham was, being he is McCain's pool boy and all.

Lieberman acting like the referee blames Obama for not being clear about how he responded to McCain, but did Joe say that McCain should have possibly handled the situation better himself? Maybe talk to Obama before he sent out his letter and then be proud of it? Of course not. Joe picked McCain in that fight.

MyDD has more: "Imus asked Lieberman about the fight, and Lieberman alleged that it was all a big misunderstanding and that both men had were interested in getting a good bipartisan bill out of the process. He implied that both men had cleared up the misunderstanding. Imus at that point interjected that McCain stands by his letter, and Lieberman changed course. Lieberman then said that McCain stood by his letter, and Obama stood by his letter, except that Obama probably wishes he were a little clearer...read on.

1. Unless they're talking about public election financing
they're just talking out their butts anyway.

It's just about the only way to clean up the system. Well, that and requiring the media to give free airtime to candidates.

Just go away. Lord, I'm ashamed for voting for him, but I had to vote for Gore.

5. Why does Lieberman even need to get involved in this little catfight?
It was just political grandstanding from the beginning, and he's NOT making things look any better.

7. So it's going to be a McCain/Lieberman ticket in 2008.
I am glad everyone is showing exactly what they stand for this early. We have enough time to either really support real Dems or support a viable third party. It has to start somewhere.
