Every once in a while, Matthews acts as if he has a brain and a conscience and today was one of those times. His guest was Torie Clark, who formerly worked for Rummy and has just written a book.
She was defending the Iraq incursion when Tweety took her to task. He spouted a laundry list of the lies we've been told about Iraq and shut her off when she tried to homina-homina-homina a response. Then he thanked her as if he didn't really mean it and went to a commercial. It was the TV equivalent of slamming a door in someone's face.
If all you ever saw of Chris Matthews was this interview, you'd think that he is (google goggle) one of us.
