CBS leads off tonight with $$ gone missing in Iraq!
Finally this meme is getting out there! Mentioning Custer-Battles, the co. that 'lost' so much money, calling them war profiteers.
8.8 billion missing/not accounted for.
Seems 60 Minutes is doing a story about this Sunday.
:woohoo: :woohoo:

1. I heard about this last night ...
Let's all hope CBS has prepared for possible Rovian tricks this time so we don't get Memogate II.

2. There were hearings on CSPAN last year about Custer-Battles
and the missing 8.8 billion. I'm gratified the rest of the country might watch and figure out how fully they're getting screwed.

4. 60 Minutes
"Coming up on "60 Minutes": Steve Kroft investigates how some of the $50 billion the U.S. spent on reconstruction work in Iraq was used and why $8.8 billion of it is unaccounted for."

Al Franken said this would be on this Sunday.

5. CIA guy
Wasn't this the story that emerged about 4 to 6 months ago, when a CIA guy (stationed in Iraq during Bremer's tenure) wrote a tell-all in a respected, right-leaning magazine. I can't remember any of the particulars; everything is becoming a haze, with all the graft and corruption that's emerging during the downside of Bush's mediocre carreer.

8. This story is AT LEAST a year old
Amazing that the MSM is just now getting a hold of it.

Actually, it's not amazing. It's just disgraceful. NINE BILLION DOLLARS gone just like that.
