Anybody watching the debt discussion on WJ? Personal and National... |
|
A few good callers so far, the most humorous :puke: was the guy who said things are great! Why didn't everybody buy Halliburton 3 years ago like I did. Just sold half his stock and made 2 million.
Most people however are realizing that debt is bad... very bad. Talking about the general state of the economy...

Was ensured by the new bankruptcy laws so it's even more important to teach young people how bad debt is. Don't let your kids get taken in by easy credit.

of the overall scheme. The entire nation is to become a company store and acquiring debt will be unavoidable. Watch what they're doing to the real family farms, they are being legislatively forced to submit to the agri-corps, they are also putting the fresh water supply under control of the corporations. I wonder what these community-conscious altruistic corporations will do when they control all of the basic necessities?

8. Sometimes, debt isn't a choice. |
|
Some people live so close to the poverty line that they have so choice but to use credit cards that come with an amazing level of high interest. If you're making minimum wage or just slightly higher and your car breaks down, you can't get to work. You HAVE to take out your credit card, hold your nose and hand it to the mechanic. If you're sick and have to buy prescriptions, sometimes you HAVE to take out your credit card and hand it to the pharmacist. And I'm not even talking about what happens when you have kids. It's one thing to have an income that allows you to exist on what you earn, and another think entirely to have no choice in the matter.

If it was a fake, it was masterful, cause you could feel the greed oozing through the TV. After Words: David Rieff interviewed by Wesley Clark Sunday, February 12 at 6pm and 9pm BookTV on CSPAN2 http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=386693&mesg_id=386693

3. I am watching it. Interesting subject. |

I frankly would not like to be starting off to day. Course that is from some one who has done it once. I will also say the this last few months my interest on my retirement saving has gone up. The first time since Bush came in. It went up each year Clinton was in and not when father Bush was in. I do not understand that at all. GOP are said to be the stock market people. We really need both parties running things.
