Before Cheney SHOT a hunter, he committed TREASON. Don't forget. |

Cheney would like you to forget, but we have to be like elephants, even though they sometimes seem like our mortal enemies. Ignore the interesting timing. It is probably just a coincidence that Cheney was accused of giving Scooter his orders to out PLame and that he turned around and shot and fellow hunter. I am sure that he did not do it deliberately or in a fit of anger or out of distraction over worry about who his cellmate might be or whether or not he would have to give back any of his Halliburton millions. Which reminds me. 60 Minutes was supposed to air an exposee about waste billions in Iraq on Sunday night. Wonder how much of that went to Halliburton. Bad week for Cheney.
Anyway, the fact is that the press is going to forget all about the Plame affair and Cheney's involvement in it, because old fart VP shoots fellow hunter is just so much sexier than satan incarnate VP commits treason and endangers national security. Unless we stop them.
So, be stubborn as a mule, but never forget.

One potential strategy is for them to drop Cheney and put Frist in (or someone else). Cheney can't run for President, so replacing him might be a smart move on their part. Bryant Check it out -> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com

4. Thank you for pointing out this little fact |

If the worst thing we can pin on Cheney is a hunting accident, we would really have little about which to complain and websites like this one would probably dry up for lack of interest.
Cheney is a war criminal and a war profiteer. He twisted the arms of CIA analysts to get them to tell him and other policy makers what would justify the decision to invade Iraq, which had already been made, regardless of the real facts. Behind the scenes, he led the charge against Ambassador Wilson in retribution for Wilson's setting the record straight. The pipeline construction corporation of which Cheney was once CEO has made a handsome profit as a result of this unnecessary war and it would be interesting to know how much of it is ending up in his retirement fund.
The hunting accident is good for a few cheap shots against Mr. Cheney, but let us not forget that this man had a record of far bloodier crimes which were not accidents and is nothing at which to snicker.
