Just incase anyone brings up Carter and surveillance again...
(mods, feel free to move/delete if this has already come up)

Some freeper nitwit was quoting me the newest Moonie Times article saying Carter authorized warrantless surveillance, too.

Two quick points to shut them up.

1) It was 1977 and FISA wasn't around yet.

2) Truong wasn't an American citizen. If FISA HAD been around, it would have been legal for Carter to request warrantless surveillance, since Truong wasn't protected under the "US Persons" definition.

The devil is in the details. I hate morons who can't read past headlines.

2. I suppose when all you got is straws
You try to grab them pretty hard, regardless of whether or not they make any sense.

6. He can't help that he's an idiot.
What's sad is that his rabid, mouth-breathing listeners will gobble it up.
