Something like this hasn't happened since Aaron Burr buried Alexander Hamilton two hundred years ago. Cap it with the fact that they hid the story for a day, and the fact that Cheney went hunting with a whole team of medical professionals, and we are into the land of serious WTF.

I live in FL and here the hospitals report gunshot wounds. How does this not appear in Sunday morning's local paper? I am seriously wondering how they did this. On the other hand, he may have been with a group of people doing the "Bloody Mary" hunting scene. Cheney's people are being nailed for trying to blame others -- namely, the victim. Fact is, if you don't know what your target is, don't shoot. This afternoon, the people at Fox tried to do a studio re-enactment of the incident. It was pathetic. It made clear how wrong Cheney was. Since then, they have said the sun was in his eyes. Don't shoot if you can't see.
