Keep emailing your questions to David Gregory at NBC. |

Let the media rip Cheney up, and when (if) they give any rebuttals, we refute/disprove them.

for being a real journalist and asking the hard questions that need to be asked. Helen Thomas and him are the only ones that seem to give a flying fuck.

Here's my question for you to ask:
"On 9/11, President Bush was informed of WTC-2 by Andrew Card after television viewers had already seen the crash live, and didn't speak to America until the next day; during a Captol Building evacuation, when Mrs. Bush was moved to a safe location, President Bush was not informed until later, being on his bicycle at the time.; during Hurricane Katrina, the official word was that President Bush was not informed of the storm's magnitude for three days, while New Orleans and her residents drowned;
NOW, when his second-in-command, the Vice-President of the United States, has SHOT--- possibly in violation of the law for obstructing the investigation by the legal authorities on the scene---an American citizen who is now in Intensive Care, you tell us that President Bush was AGAIN not instantly informed.
So my question to you, Scotty, is this: Would the President like to borrow my cell-phone?"
Oh, okay, to be serious! "What are the President's rules for when he must be informed of matters of national significance?"

Here is what I mailed.
Dear Mr. Gregory, I am interested in the length of time Mr. Whittington had to wait for the ambulance after he was shot. I can not help but think they tried to patch him up good enough in the field, and found they could not. How long was the wait? Ask this quest of scott. Thank You for reading this, and God Bless You for your work of excellence. Happy Valentines Day to the Gregory Crew!

8. Like these from Josh Marshall? |

Here perhaps we're in need of some expert insight from hunters and doctors. But the latest round of news raises this question in my mind. Would the weapon and ammunition Dick Cheney shot have the force to imbed pellets near Whittington's heart at 30 yards? A hunter wears a decent amount of clothing over the chest, remember. So these pellets would have to have pierced his clothing, his skin and then lodged inside the body cavity, somewhere near or around his heart. The shot came from the right and the heart is on the left so that might add to the amount of tissue needing to be traversed -- but without more specifics that's hard to know for sure. That takes a decent amount of force at 30 yards. Any thoughts from our TPM hunters and clinicians?

11. Does David Gregory do a good job? |
|
I saw him on Conan OBrien last week (?) and it seemed like he had stars in his eyes, re: working at the White House. Kind of like "I can't believe I get to talk to the president" kind of vibe. He told a couple of cute stories sorta based around the idea that Dumbya's 'just a regular guy' with a 'good sense of humor' (and I can't believe I actually get to talk to the president.)
That was my impression.
Maybe it's because I don't find Dumbya and his 'antics' all that amusing, but I wasn't impressed.
I could be wrong.
