The Whittington shooting - the timing worries me a bit |
|
I might be way wrong here and I hope hell I am. However, just as things are hotting up on the possibility of attacking Iran this story breaks loose and suddenly the entire media is fixated by it. I can understand why because it is a huge, human interest story. But...and this is what nags me...it has taken a lot of attention off the Iran issue.
Is there something sneaky going on here? Remember the fake turra alerts just when the Fitz investigation was homing in on indictments?
Maybe I need more tinfoil.

1. If this was remotely deliberate... |

Cheney would have gotten someone else to do it.

2. No. This isn't Rovian. |
|
I believe that under the worst case scenario, Cheney shot the liberal Republican lawyer in a fit of rage. Maybe the lawyer said something that pissed Cheney off. He's under a lot of pressure lately. Frankly, I find it odd that he got him in the face and chest, just by chance. That is one, low flying bird he must have been aiming at.

4. Quail aren't known for being high flying birds |
|
and the ideal time to blast them is immediately when they take flight. Therefore, hit 'em when they are low. Simple explanation for you.

I don't believe Rove is a genius, but he's NOT THIS STUPID, either!
Waiting for the other {fake) shoe to fall: Hospital announces that Whittington's blood alcohol level was through the roof - thus the drunken fool caused the accident himself.
I keep wondering why they haven't come up with that one, yet ...

7. They have to be a little careful.. if dude survives, and wasn't "down" |
|
with being the "drunken careless victim", he could make some messy noise if they tried to pin that label on him.
Repub or not, think about it, that might piss anyone off.

for hunting with someone who was overly intoxicated.

I think you just removed my rook from the board.
Figured there'd have to be some 'angle' to them not making Whittington out to be in such a drunken state, the 'accident' was inevitable.
But you're right - Cheney would look JUST as irresponsible - and guilty - if he didn't notice the man's state before they went out.
