Just saw Newsnight and plan to post a link to the video. But we can't get Sky here and I heard they were going to broadcast the entire SBS Dateline report.

6. The images are awful.

Excrement, dead bodies, burns, self-harm, pools of blood.

It's sickening. The BBC can't even show some of them - too distressing. The ones they did show were distressing enough.

This can't be written off as "frat-boy pranks". This is beyond even torture. That prison was a circle of hell.

Ya know, I know someone in the CID (Criminal Investigation Department - not quite sure that if that is the correct name) unit of the Army and this person told me they (The Army) had this investigation "wrapped up in a ribbon before the press ever reported on it." I'm losing a great deal of respect for that person. And I'm feeling really sad about that right now. I don't have that comment on tape, but I have other comments on tape from members of the military condemning the US Invasion and Occupation of Iraq and who absolutely despise Shrub.

For the record: I was taping the conversation for an article that I never wrote because I only had 30 minutes with these people. It was taped with full knowledge of the people involved.
