Why would anyone believe Bush or Cheney at this late date?
Or give them the benefit of the doubt? They've lied so many times they have zero credibility. Yet people make excuses why something they said should be regarded as gospel. I've been watching this Cheney thing unwind, and it's just the same ol' same ol'. Everyone making excuses for why Cheney MUST be telling the truth about everything. Lord, how many lies do they have to tell before people stop believing them? Talk about gullible...

2. They haven't even elevated lying into an art, and still they get passes.
They don't even attempt to sugar-coat their lies -- they just let 'em fly.

I don't believe a goddamned word they say. Ever. :grr:

4. No shit!....Crashcart was drunk and he fucked up big-time...
Why would anyone believe him when he say's he had one beer, and it was five hours before the shooting?

Single malt scotch, no doubt, and I'll bet it was more than a couple.

7. What I'm wondering is why Cheney would admit to drinking beer
I've heard talking heads saying that this proves that Cheney is telling the truth, as he didn't have to admit to that.

This is a man who has spent the last five years hiding his activities and lying like no one in government I've ever seen. So why would he admit to drinking a beer? Armstrong is swimming and bathing in Kool-Aid and probably would be willing to say anything that Cheney tells her to say or back up anything Cheney tells her to back up. There must be some separate corroborating evidence out there. Or was there perhaps another witness on that hunting trip who is not as controllable or reliable to ChimpCo as the others? There's something puzzling to me about this beer drinking admission.
