I'm a big-city liberal and I'm proud of it
If I hear one more person tell me that "Big City Liberals can't win statewide" I'm gonna scream!!

It's Bullshit! Ed Rendell (big city mayor of Philly) did it in 2002 against Bob Casey in the primaries and he was not only the underdog but not supported by the DGA in the primaries.

I would never, EVER in a million years downgrade a democrat in another region of the state and yet this discrimination has been going on for the past couple of days and it bugs the shit out of me (sorry about my french - I'm pissed!)

Telling me that big city liberal democrats can't win statewide is like telling me that Joe Lieberman is the only option for Connecticut so I best better like it.

It's a big tent - stop squeezing us out. Pennsylvania voted blue for governor and president for 2 main reasons: Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. When you disregard even one of those two cities (like Ron Klink did with Philadelphia when he ran against Santorum) you will lose the state! Ed Rendell campaigned in every county in Pennsylvania during his 2002 election - every single one. That's the attitude you need to win!

2. If I lived in Pennsylvania I would
I'm sorry, I'm in Delaware but I was a lifelong Pennsylvania and in the past couple of months Chuck has been growing on me.

My wanting Casey in the senate is purely a selfish reason - I don't want him as governor and if Casey isn't in the Senate in 2006 I can almost guarentee he will be the statehouse in 2010. I doesn't make much sense but sometimes even I'm like that.

Chuck came to our DU party in Washington DC during the protest and I talked with him again at the protest outside Justice Sunday III. He's a great guy and I wish him luck and if I was in PA I'd vote for him!
