Has anyone here been trained by DFA, 21st Century Dems, or Camp Wellstone? |
|
I ask because I am considering taking their activist/organizer training, but I don't want to do it if it is all common sense, or if I could learn what they have to teach in another, easier way. Thank you in advance to all who reply.

She had Paul Wellstone as her professor in a few courses and is really familiar with the program. (Yes, she believes he was killed.) She asked me to join her in the grassroot course coming up in Arizona. A gal we're helping in a local campaign took the course and highly recommends it.

2. I did the DFA grassroots organizing |
|
day long class last summer. It was a lot of fun. It was a lot on organizing, campaign finance, identifying resources, setting goals, and establishing priortities.
It isn't exactly common sense but it was a lot of basic marketing and fundraising. So if you have that experience it my be too elementary for you.
What I really enjoyed was simply being in a crowd where I wasn't the most liberal person in the room.
I'd recommend it for the networking.
