Why do they keep giving stupid people TV time?
I was just watching a Daily Show from last week and Jon Stewart was playing a clip from Scarborough Country that Bill Donahue on it. Basically the entire interview was about some movie that Donahue found offensive and he was acting like a 2 year old during the entire movie. If I was Scarborough, I would have pulled a Novak and walked out of the interview.

But that's just it - they keep putting stupid people on TV which is how really bad ideas get started. Cant we put a stop to the source and cut the stupid people off of TV?

1. The problem is is that the people who own the stations
want the stupid people on TV. The best we can do is refuse to watch them...

2. The problem is that your average stupid TV watcher...
likes to feel smart. So, they get people who are even stupider than the people who are watching TV, so that the viewers can feel good about themselves.

6. Ah, very true. Which is probably why 24/7 news networks still exist.

3. If Billy didn't like the movie...

He could have left and got his money back...Just because he didn't like it doesn't mean that it should be denied to other Americans....

How about we make shows like Scarborough Country and the Oleily show irrelevant.
