Bushco's Ingenious New Damage Control Method |
|
It's the fingers-in-ears, neener-neener-neener, I-can't-hear-you effect. Every time a scandal erupts--some incontrovertible evidence of your utter corruption, incompetence, ineptitude or idiocy, just spin the crap out of it for a few days until a new scandal rears its ugly head and distracts the press. Such scandals are inevitable, give the fact that you've loaded every major government agency with cronies, ass-lickers and ideologues with no idea how to do their actual jobs, what those jobs are or why they're important. Eventually the public will develop "scandal fatigue" and simply stop listening, because the truth will be too grim for them to bear thinking about. Brilliant!

Amen! An outrage a day and after awhile...no-one seems to notice. I think they could decide to drop a bomb on us and the average person would think it would be just fine. They know they can get away with anything and no-one will stop them.
