In the media, who's in and who's out in 2006

Who's out: CNN and Fox
The egregious Rita Cosby and her sensationalist nonsense to the contrary, MSNBC, a unit of General Electric (GE), has been quietly showing serious improvement in its reporting and programming. The perennial laughingstock of TV news may soon begin to gain on CNN (which is merely an occasional laughingstock). If President Bush's approval rating continues to drag, Fox could feel a pinch, too As Bush goes, so goes Fox.

2. One BushCo media whore outlet writiing about other BushCo media whores
Perfect! One need only look at today's non-stop coverage of the newly dubbed "Tragedy at Sago Mine" story by CNN & MSNBC to see the naked, obvious, planned strategy to AVOID reporting on any serious stories like Abramhoff and Spygate. I would not be surprised to see Kyra Phillips on CNN having an interview later today with a lump of coal to fill the hours and hours of nonsensical saturation coverage of this story.

Fear, Violence and Tragedy rules the day at all the cable news outlets. I laugh everytime I hear the oft quoted reason that the networks are only covering what people want to see. That is total BS. The current giant news reporting networks are merely subsidiaries of the giant BushCo mafioso octopus.
