Lowes Hardware will not use Newark Port for shipping it's goods. |
|
They will only use ports NOT run by the Dubai concern. So Savannah or another SE port will now get their business.
No, I don't have a link..it's not an official story. Just got the word from a fairly well placed source.
Just thought it was interesting that some businesses might use this to curry favor with the public.

1. Lowes has to do what it can to beat Home Depot... |
|
I think that it might be a good thing...maybe more companies will do this. (If it is true)

3. That's a valid point..... |
|
I thought about that....
and I also thought what if a nuke were to go off in the port where they get there products from.....that could devastate them
it's almost a no win situation...

4. Home Depot already does a good job of beating itself. |
|
From underhiring to underpaying its employees (e.g., I hear stories of many employees not receiving promised raises for months), to TV news reports that many of their existing employees don't know much (if anything) about the areas they're covering in their stores.
