Oh my God, Leno is incredible |
|
He is having a blast with Bush. Says the White House is a subsidiary of the UAE. Says why do you put a bunch of people living the desert in charge of a seaport. And on and on it goes. I can't remember them all they were coming so fast. Oh, he says why is Bush putting Arabs in charge of our seaports when he can't even put Arabs in charge of Iraq.

I think it is now open season on Bush. I hope someone posts the video too. Sounds like a crack up!

8. Hopefully C&L will have the video. I think they had the |
|
video from Letterman jumping all over Cheney's ass last night (and that was a good one too!).

6. He may have said Arabs |
|
I don't remember... or maybe people living in a desert. I was drinking an adult beverage and laughing my ass off during all this. The average person has no clue anyway.

9. This coming from a comedian who had nothing good to say about Kerry |
|
in 2004. All he did was repeat Repub talking points. I'm sure Leno convienced a few Americans to vote for Bush with his jokes.

11. I've watched Leno since 95 |
|
Don't know why, exactly, I've always just liked his stuff. But he was HORRID in the election season and for a while after. I just about stopped watching entirely. Then--I believe around the time the Downing Street Memo was "in the news," Leno started ripping Republicans like he hadn't for years (though he still has the obligatory Clinton jokes). Since mid 05 he has gotten better and better, and through his jokes, mentioning things like the stolen 04 election, the Iraq war lies, and all sorts of horrendous scandals that as far as I know never left the Blogosphere. He has definitely won me back. And lately--what can I say--material abounds like never before since Prick Cheney did his thing. And he was very friendly with Bill Maher last week!
It is very important for Jay and comedians like him to do these jokes. It's the best way for common folk to find out what's going on, or at a hint of it. It's more than they'll hear in the news. But it must be tough for comedians like Leno and Letterman to "push the envelope" given that they ultimately work for fascist corporations. Guess Leno figures that since he's gone in 09 anyway, he might as well rip Bush as much as possible, consequences from the Network be damned!

Monday I happened to catch his show (Daily Show wasn't on and I couldn't find the remote) and he told some stupid Hillary Clinton joke that MIGHT have been funny IF it was still 1998 (AKA - EIGHT years ago!)... :eyes:

10. We need to deluge them with humor and ridicule. Though I say |
|
Good For Leno, I won't and can't trust GE, therefor I am totally perplexed about where GE/NBC they are coming from on the port business. What I'm sensing coming from them doesn't mesh with their typically pimp positions.

13. Leno has more credibility with conservatives than Letterman |
|
Whilst I agree with Letterman's points against O'Reilly, Letterman's show is supposed to be a comedy show, not Crossfire. Leno can go after Bush (and Democrats) without making the other side feel attacked, which makes him a much better comedian.

Now, he makes me sick. And his best friend is Dennis Miller. Enough said.
