I just wanted to write you a quick note about why people may be upset about this port deal. There's something about all of this that you may not understand, Mr. President. I hope you don't mind if I'm a little blunt, but I feel that honesty is the best policy.
You see, Mr. President, it's simply that a large chunk of the American people do not trust you, anything you say or do, anything that anyone associated with you says or does, or anything that anyone you do business with says or does. There are folks who do not believe that you have the interests of the American people at heart. In fact, sir, I and many of my friends and associates here in New York City believe that you and your cronies had prior knowledge of 9/11 and allowed it to happen so you could go to war. You know, "a new Pearl Harbor." We also believe that this port deal may be setting us up for another similar, or worse, event.
I know, I know... you don't think that "people need to be concerned about security," but believe it or not, we are! However, some of us don't believe that you are concerned with security. Sorry, Mr. President, but that's the reality of the situation! It may be hard for you to hear, but... well... there are people in this country (myself included) who believe that you are a liar, a thief and a killer. Oh, it may be fun to have several beers with you, but I don't trust you.
Sorry...
