17. Do you remember back in , what? 2002? There was a "Question w"
movement - to write that on dollar bills before you circulate them further.

I end every conversation I think might have potential with a lilting "Visualize IMPEACHMENT!!!" I do that on the phone, with friends, and once, with a lady who stopped me to ask for directions as she was about to drive up my street and get lost. She said it was the best thing she'd heard all day, and she thanked me profusely for it.

3. I have this message at the bottom of my e-mails, in red:
NOTICE: Due to Presidential Executive Orders, the National Security
Agency (NSA) may have read this email without warning, warrant, or
notice. They may do this without any judicial or legislative oversight.
You have no legal recourse, nor protection from this intrusion on your
personal freedoms. You may not review your file which is secret.
The President reserves the right to use "signing statements" to give
himself permission to ignore the law, as he is above accountability.

I've been known to leave flyers in grocery baskets and my local library.
I haven't lately but need to!

8. Two Things, One Extremely Effective.
Sometimes I print out one page summaries of our talking points and just conveniently leave them inside the middle of magazines in doctors offices, chiropractors etc when I'm there for an appointment. No idea if it is effective or not since I'm not there when the unsuspecting person when reading an article turns the page to see it.

What has been EXTREMELY effective for me, however, is my "Wall O'Politics" at work. I have a typical cubicle, and the left wall of it closest to the walk area is filled with full page political cartoons or other one page easily digestible pro-liberal images/articles. I rotate them frequently to keep them fresh with new material. People constantly come by to laugh with them, talk about them and see what's new. It starts so many conversations that open the door to me telling them additional things going on. Right now I have a couple of Dick Cheney Shooting toons, the Bush Head Pez dispenser with Lies coming out, the sequence of Bush opening the wrong doors in China, an NSA wiretapping toon, and I will never take down the picture of John Conyers delivering the hundreds of thousands of signatures to the White House Gates.

The "Wall O'Politics" has been a great way for me to give quick conversations about the truth of this administration and the things the MSM doesn't talk about. You have no idea how many times I've heard "Wow, I never heard that"

MAN - one of the best I've heard. Political cartoons are a SUPERB short-hand, visceral, no-explanations-necessary way of getting a message out, and hitting a bull's-eye with it. ESPECIALLY effective with people who are naturally visually-oriented.

A stroke of GENIUS!

:yourock:

(on edit - oh, for Pete's sake, I do know how to spell "genius.")

21. It Has Truly Been Quite Effective. And I Owe It To DUer's Threads
That where I get most of the stuff from. Whenever I see a picture in someones post or thread that has a powerful message and simple delivery, usually in the form of a toon, I print it right out and up it goes. Nothing toooooo controversial though, but just enough to get the dialog going. People literally come to my cube sometimes specifically to see what new stuff I have, and will even scold me lightly if I keep some up for too long or don't have new stuff for them.

12. I hadn't thought of that
I could put the anti-Bush books in front of the pro-Bush ones. I didn't think I was in a position to do much, but thanks for the idea!

Actually, http://www.evolvefish.com has some of the red-circles-with-slashes stickers cut in such a fashion that they fit over those round "W" stickers that pukes put on cars. I was going to pick up some of those and make use of them. However, living in Massachusetts makes it unnecessary for the most part.

22. Isn't that considered vandalism?
I think I would put BUSH on a card board sign and wire it onto the STOP sign. No vandalism done but it gets the point across.

Hasn't Bush taught us legal is whatever one determines legal is?
Bush decided it was legal to spy without a warrant. Cheney determined it was legal to shoot without a license.

So legal is anything each of us says it is.

Right?

(One person's vandalism is another's form of protest, of free expression, of art, etc.)

20. I do what you do in bookstores everytime I'm in them
and I know others who do the same. I also boycott as many neo-con businesses as I can like Wal-Mart. I don't use credit cards anymore except for emergencies.

If I were younger I would do barter. Like I would do some small business guy's bookkeeping in exchange for goods or service from him. I used to not agree with this practice because I always thought it was a Republican practice to get out of paying taxes. But now I feel I don't want my tax money going to the neo-con agenda so I would do this.

24. I've done that... also
I will print out good current liberal articles or op-ed pieces and leave them in the men's room at work where I know it will get read... Paul Krugman is a favorite, as is Will Pitt. I also like to use anti-Bush Republicans (Paul Craig Roberts comes to mind) Sometimes, I'll also print out an extra copy or two and leave in the men's room at a local mall or similar.

I try to submit at least 1 anonymous entry to my local "Speak Out" weekly newspaper. Several times, I've had 4 in a week.

28. All last fall, after dark, I put "Impeach Bush" signs in with Repuke signs
during all the local campaigns. I was surprised at how many days many of them would last before someone would finally pull mine out of the ground. I'd usually put my sign at the end of one of those long strings of campaign signs you'd see along a major highway.
