3. He was in Palm Beach
and a friend of mine missed a golden opportunity to deck him. He was tempted, held back at the last minute.

4. It sure does look like him.
Is he a resident of Florida, or does he just play one on teevee? Did those people who were doing this have to be Florida residents or residents of the county they were counting in? Anyone know?

6. well it is hard to keep track of all their evil doings
but I remember this well.

"Im with the Bush-Cheney team, and I'm here to stop the count."

Those were the words John Bolton yelled as he burst into a Tallahassee library on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, where local election workers were recounting ballots cast in Florida's disputed presidential race between George W. Bush and Al Gore.

Bolton was one of the pack of lawyers for the Republican presidential ticket who repeatedly sought to shut down recounts of the ballots from Florida counties before those counts revealed that Gore had actually won the state's electoral votes and the presidency.

No, it's not new. It had come up on DU last year. But thanks to the originator of this thread for rediscovering it.

9. I found this - I was curious about who he was with at the time of the
photo.

Between 1997 and 2000, Bolton served pro bono as an assistant to James Baker in Baker's capacity as Kofi Annan's personal envoy to the Western Sahara<5>. Before joining the George W. Bush administration, Bolton was Senior Vice President for Public Policy Research at the American Enterprise Institute.

Wikipedia - biography is with compliments of the American Enterprise Institute.
