That cursed criminal Reliant Energy...my electric bill increase |
|
Edited on Tue Feb-28-06 10:56 AM by texpatriot2004
Just a few months ago I had an episode with Reliant Energy in Texas (bunch of crooks they are) and here we are again, same bullshit different day...
They just increased my balanced billing amount from $300 to $488 PER MONTH!
RAT BASTARDS play this shell game with me about my "usage" (which hasn't changed in the 4 years I have been there unlike their exponential rate increases!)
Dammit!

Reason being I switched to Reliant for awhile a couple of years ago. Well in December 2003, we made it a point not to use our heat as much. We were away during Thanksgiving and Christmas too. What do you know, Reliant smacks us with a $230 bill, for a 2-BEDROOM APARTMENT!! We QUICKLY switched back to TXU.
I HATE Reliant. They claim they're cheaper but it's a ruse. Look up Reliant Energy on www.ripoffreport.com. You'll get an EARFUL!! Not to mention the fact that they were implicated in the California Energy Crisis a few years back...

4. What is the cost per kilowatt hour? |
|
They are basing this on average use (kwh). Mine here in rural Kansas is 11 cents per kwh..

7. Since August my power bill has more than doubled |
|
And I'm on a yearly averaged plan, so it is not just increased energy use from the effects of winter. I will be paying more than double what I was paying last year, until next month, when our power company plans to increase fees again!

Northern Nevada. Sierra Pacific Power Co. doubled my bill since 05 and we are incurring an additional rate increase starting this month of likely 10%. Their notice stated that they had filed to recover energy expenses incurred from 04 to 05, and to increase the current Base Tariff Energy Rate for projected future energy costs. They are nickle and diming me on top of the doubled increase already incurred! :grr:

I don't know what a balanced billing amount is but you certainly aren't paying 488 a month for energy?
*feels very dumb*
