9. we used to get a lot of junk mail every day
I asked the postmaster about what to do about this magazine i had not subscribed to but was being billed for, he told me to write refused on the front and stick it back in the outbox, that by law they have to return it to the business and by law they have to pay the postage, the same postage that we pay. I did that and no more mag's or bill for said mag. So I took things into my own hands about the junk mail and started to write refused on each and every one, in a couple months we weren't getting a single junk mail. that was 12 years ago and I'm starting to need to do it again and will. Tape the reply to a block of wood or something like that and send it back, they will get the message real quick.

14. Brilliant!
I really do like that Guiness commercial, I was forced to buy a pint to recognize their efforts recently.

17. Never send them back empty.
I save all those prepaid envelopes, and spend one evening a month (neatly) cutting up mail order catelogs and old magazines. (The paper is heavier.) My best effort to date is about 4.2 ozs in a legal size envelope.

I'm a) increasing PO revenue and b) recycling trash.

5. Good Morning, you evil woman, you
heh heh heh

Try what a college friend of mine used to do 'way back in the sixties: he'd tape the postage paid envelopes to a brick and drop them in mailboxes.

Or fill them with every cigarette butt in our dorm's lounge after a long night.

There are ways ..................

13. LOL Got any pavers?
Wanna build a pergola and patio this summer.

No, I REALLY send them all my other junk mail in their envelopes! I often write nasty notes on each piece of paper I cram into those things. It is a great stress release! And you'd be surprised how much you can stuff into an envelope. It's fun to challenge your own personal best from time to time.

19. Ah, jeez, I'm sorry to hear that
I'm on a steady diet of Motrin and Extra-Strength Tylenol myself. Busted up a knee last summer, and the rehab continues, dammit.

Try more beer. The pussycat will show you how.

Stay warm, though - and stay in motion (which really sucks). Two words: heating pads.

Soon it'll be warmer, and everyone will feel better. Right? RIGHT??????

Easy does it, kiddo. You're still the best ...........

7. I was out of work for over 2 years and living on savings
which meant being slow to pay some bills (a big red flag for those folks) and generally trying to live on next to nothing. Nothing slowed those damned come-ons down.

Now that I've been back in town after a death in the family and have inherited enough for temporary solvency, the offers have slowed from eight a week to maybe one or two.

Man, those folks are slow to notice what's going on.
