GOP Naked Photographer Sentenced

I think this is the second or third GOP perv caught in our illustrious state capitol in recent years. The Ohio GOP will doubtless keep him employed anyway. This guy needs some serious therapy.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A man called the "naked photographer" because he ambushed women in the nude and took pictures of their shocked expressions had his law license suspended indefinitely.

Linnen pleaded guilty in 2004 to 53 misdemeanor counts and served a year in jail. Authorities say he took pictures of 38 women over 18 months, before his identity was discovered in late 2003.

At the time, Linnen was working as a lawyer the Ohio House Republican caucus.

In its ruling, the Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline noted that Linnen has not apologized to his victims.

The panel recommended that his license be suspended. The Supreme Court has yet to rule.

One would think that they'd follow the recommendation- but this is Ohio... nothing that happens in that state surprises me.

Alleged Naked Photographer Arrested Again

"We have found a large number of photographs, a large number of photographic materials, computer discs that we suspect may contain photos," Columbus police Detective David Pelphroy said. "We have now identified a victim out of a Gahanna incident on one of those photos."

Gahanna police Detective John Fox said evidence points to an incident in which two teenage girls were approached by the naked photographer.

"The naked photographer jumped out of a concealed position, took their pictures and sexually assaulted one of the young girls," Fox said.

Gahanna police said they have pictures that indicate Linnen may have been stalking young girls around Gahanna high schools and elementary schools before the alleged incident with the two high school students.

Police said Linnen was involved in two flashing incidents Wednesday night. The first was at an apartment complex off Dierker Road.

"A woman was walking into her apartment complex on Dierker Road, and the naked photographer approached her, took a picture, laughed and ran," Columbus police spokeswoman Sherry Mercurio said. "About 2 1/2 hours later officers came up on a scene where they saw a man with no clothes on pursing a woman. The naked photographer approached a woman and had taken a picture. She was able to grab either his hat or his glasses. He pushed her and ran, and that's when police happened to get up on the scene."

Police were able to cage Linnen in with their cruisers and capture him.

Police said they feel confident that Linnen is the naked photographer.
