15. Old prejudices...re: rancher vs farmer
An old disparaging remark for farmers was "clod buster". Seems like a gentle, passive activity versus the rough and routy rancher who has to ride and drive the herd. Farmers may also be perceived as receiving govt subsidies, whereas people don't speak that way about ranchers. Excellent marketing plan, even though either way is a lie.

19. I'll just bet that the Chimp is Soooo, happy
Gets to wade in all that manure. Gets his shoes coated with the thick stuff he likes to dish out. Haven't heard of him clearing brush lately. Guess he put a few more minimum wage workers out of business. He was keeping the Gardner's busy for a while there, as fast as they planted the 'shrubs', Chimpy cut them down.

17. Both are ridiculous attributions.
I've known plenty of real ranchers, and they work their butts off. Bush hasn't known a day of real work in his life. I define real work as, "Doing something you don't want to do, but you have to do."

Post #6 and #15 are right on the moo-ney, as well.

Didn't he graduate from Yale? How can DUers say Chimp is dumb? Chimps are some of the world's most effetive hunters and they use tools! Of course, I think we should check if * has an fully opposable thumb...
