McCartney, as usual, one of the coolest most unflappable persons on the planet...

..Much as I admire him and his lengthy career as a tunesmith and performer(and more;like culture hero and "world saver")....I still feel there is a place for an annual humane harvest in the seal industry by those people that live in New Foundland. Since their is such light natural predation upon seals, their populations can explode where they exhaust not only their food stocks but those of other species as well.
A controlled harvest keeps a healthy and sustainable population in check and that means healthier seals.

Sir Paul's wife was playing the emotion card. Comparing the seal pups to her own child and birthing experience as a mother. Projecting human experiences and emotions on to wild animals is an irresponsible and incorrect way to approach resource management.
