4. Yeh, they'll close ranks. But if active CIA agents can write books...

She can say stuff without giving up secrets. She can talk about broken down processes, about ignorant supervisors, about official pressure from administration to drive conclusions without giving up actual intelligence. It's a tough line to walk (altho you'll notice Oliver North managed to do it), but the public right to know in the past has been allowed to trump trumped up security concerns.

Those who say that Patrick Leahy and Charles Grassley have "backed away" from supporting her. I've not heard from either of them or any other significant public figure for that matter substantive "dismissal" of her claims as being B.S. or anything like that. Most official reports corroborate her accounts. The only reasons they are "backing off" from her are likely that they are getting pressured from their parties to do so. And Sibel has indicated that both parties are involved in this corruption, so it's a safe bet that this is why she has not had many "champions" now on Capitol hill!

Funny note: I signed my petition earlier this morning and it offered to send an email to the now prison-bound "honorable" Randy Duke Cunningham, since I'm currently unrepresented in his old 50th district! I made sure and cc'd Francine Busby's campaign email address though at the end! Hopefully Diebold doesn't screw her in April!
