2. Yup. He thinks the Dems will take over in the next election |
|
and impeachment proceedings will start.
Mr. Paul is not a fan of Mr. Bush.

4. Ron Paul is the ultimate RINO |
|
He's constantly speaking out about two things: Being against interventionist war, and a return to the gold standard, instead of just printing more money.
I figure he only runs as a Republican because he figures thats the best way to get elected in Texas

While this majority rules he's gonna be voting against their bs. I don't know how we'd like him with a true fiscal conservative though because libertarians are usually for privatization, deregulating and free trade and against big government and entitlements so that must be what puts them in the republican side. I agree with and like him most of the time, especially his brilliant analysis of the dollar. He's one of the seers, someone who gets the big picture and doesn't accept it. Gotta respect that.

8. He is also the only politician I have heard question the last 60 years of |
|
foreign policy ~ he wrote an article 'What If We Got It Wrong' questioning the support of dictators and all the other policies, Vietnam etc., all of which were justified with the excuse of 'we're fighting Communism'.
I read it a while ago, and wondered if he thought that when the Soviet Union collapsed, there would be no more reason to back dictators, go to war etc., only to realize finally, that there will always be a reason as long as members of this cabal are around.
He also warned Congress about the ideology of neocons like Michael Ledeen ~ but of course he was ignored ~ he voted against the IWR ~ I'm surprised he's still allowed to be a Republican ~

9. He's my Congressman. Glad to have someone there |
|
with a backbone, even if I don't agree with him on everything. At least I don't feel like my "Repub" is a hypocrite.

10. I liked what Ron Paul said about NED |
|
I also think it is interesting that the folks we outsourced our government to, at these "think tanks", are openly criticizing the choices we have made.
Besides, Paul is a Libertarian. He is one of the few who is standing mouth agape in abject horror looking at what is happening.
