Has there been any word on those four hostages in Iraq? |
|
You know Norman Kember and the three others with him? They've been held for nearly a month now.

So, CPT doesn't even know whether they are alive? How tragic!

4. I've been hoping that no news is good news. |
|
The goal of the 4 was to remind us all of our common humanity, and in part the acts of war against the invaders are motivated by a similar determination to assert the rights of the people of that region against the machinery that has killed so many of them. I would like to believe those who captured them will see that these 4 are not "the enemy." Rachel Corey's parents were recently taken hostage in Palestine, and then released when the captors discovered that they were not enemies of the Palestinan people, and the release of some reporters and aid workers in Iraq happened under similar circumstances, so I do have some hope.
