An idiot freeper announced tonight that the American people have spoken |
|
by not tuning in to the oscars. He's a specimen transport person and came into the lab where I work and told us that the shows low ratings is a message to liberals and gays from normal Americans (I swear he said that) that they've had enough of them shoving their agenda up "our" asses. He was obviously trying to regurgitate something he heard on hate radio, which he listens to all the time. I almost felt sorry for him, but I had to point out that I thought the American people sent a more glaring message when Bush's approval rating dropped to around 20% (slight exaggeration ). He just said what he usually says to me, that I'm a f--ing idiot and went on ranting down the hall.

1. I would say he should pay more attention to the 30ish approval ratings for |
|
shrub... that's a little more relevant "rating" than the Oscars TV ratings.

3. I've heard conflicting reports on the shows ratings... |
|
one said it was down 8% from last year... another said it was up from last year. I guess it depends on what radio station you listen to.

Why are they always complaining about having things "shoved down their throats" and "up their asses"?

Allow them their dreams, no matter how physically invasive. It's all the poor things really have. It's really lonely in Mom's basement, sitting at the computer with their pants around their ankles.

and caught that rat bastard scarborogh, and the display read "Hollowood Hate". They were bashing Clooney. They are so scared of hollywood because they are afraid that people really like hollywood, and that pepple will catch on that they are trying to cause people to fear liberal hollywood.

Teach him a little humility and give a liberal a chance at his job. He'll learn a lot being Bush's "Pioneer" of "Window A" at the unemployment office, develop more empathy for the poor and you won't be called a "fucking idiot" and be subject to his filthy abuse at your workplace anymore.
It's win-win.

17. yeah, I tried to explain to the guy that I didn't watch it because |
|
I just don't do award shows, or much tv at all for that matter, and it had nothing to do with which movies were nominated, but if you've ever tried talking to one when he's on a roll...

Wingnuts don't like the Oscars, therefore we are for the Oscars? I couldn't give a damn either way. Why does everything have to be a political referendum for them?

20. Majoritarianism strikes again from the mouths of the Freepers |
|
By their logic, then I guess America has rejected Fox News since "most" TV viewers aren't watching that sorry channel at a given time.
These are the same people who will claim that because a majority believes one way or votes one way that that must therefore be the correct position, which is a fundamentally childish mode of thinking.

22. These people are so fucking stupid. |

What makes them even think that Hollywood should even be mainstream or reflect anything other than what the film makers want? All this crap about it being liberal - what a bunch of bullshit. The Repukes have more money than the Vatican and if they wanted to make films and promote them, let them. But the truth is, they never could get a good film in the box because this industry is fun by - you guessed it - HOMOSEXUALS and always has been. As Liz Taylor said, "There'd be no Hollywood with out gay men." So a film like Brokeback being out of the loop PAHLEEZE.....

The Oscars don't care about politics (see Clooney's speech). I usually don't watch but I decided to this time because of Jon Stewart hosting and I actually enjoyed them this year. Usually I find award programs so boring.
