I think all those in the MSM who wrote such ridiculous articles about Al Gore's "earth tones", "sighing" and/or "exaggerations" owe the American people an apology. Damn them for even attempting to make such silly talking points legitimate.

I know Dowd has written many excellent articles about Bush but I will never forgive her or any of the others for the coverage of the 2000 election. Apologize NOW!

1. I'm sorry, but Al Gore brought a lot of it upon himself...
That sighing of his made him look like a mildly-irritated schoolmarm, not a President.

Having said that, I still wish he took the White House away from Nero. Yes, he won the election, but he did not take the White House away from Nero.

2.  I thought he showed much restraint....I was yelling "F*cking Liar!"
Not only that..at one point Gore had Bush stumbling and mumbling, all flustered...why didn't they focus on those minutes, or even give it equal space on their pages.

When the worst thing you can say about a 25 year politician is that he exaggerates (after millions spent on investigations, yes they went after him too) then you should be giving him a GD award in ethics....not pounding him with foolishness.

4. Owning the presses means never having to say you're sorry
And damned if they ever will feel the need to apologize to the masses of the unwashed (that's us, btw). If you think that Modo doesn't look down her patrician nose at us commoners, you're deluding yourself. Read her latest & you'll see what I mean. Ego with a capital E...
