Schumer says no to Dubai, McCain & Frist won't allow vote |
|
My main man, Senator Charles D. (Chuck) Schumer of New York is trying like hell to stop this Dubai port Deal in the Senate right now (CSPAN2). He's making a stand now (We always like it when Dems make a stand) which is pissing off Bush's Lackeys.
The problem is that Frist and McCain (Bush's rubber stamp boys), are in the leadership, and are blocking Schumer's attemp.

Against the deal, for kowtowing to Bush, apparently.

that they have to allow the deal to go through because Dubai has threatened the US with switching to the Euro for their oil transactions - and this simply can not happen. The adminstration's propped-up-dollar house of cards would come tumbling down.

7. Let McCain explain in the 2008 election why he |
|
wants our ports in the hands of people who supported terrorism in the first place.. Let Frist explain to his constituents why he did it as well. The polls show a majority of Americans don't want this deal... Let them ignore the cries of the people... They will answer with their vote....

11. We have a photo of him eating cake with Bush while NOLA drowned, |
|
and now he's in favor of the Port's deal. The man either knows Diebold will pull through for him, or he's got no interest to be in politics any more.

So? It's politics that needs to be played to take back our government.

12. Normie Coleman said that the Senate |
|
should wait until the 45-day investigation period is up. Tough shit, Normie.
Frist came on a bit ago and said that the Cloture vote would take place at 2:00 p.m. today. Harry Reid says he is asking Democrats to oppose the cloture.
