"You know there's a problem when Brownie is the competent one." |
|
Just heard Kerry say this in a fantastic speech now being re-broadcast on C-SPAN.
Goddamn, John...why didn't you sound like this during the campaign? He's calling this the "Katrina Administration."

3. Well, unfortunately for him, there was no Katrina when he was running. |
|
Maybe if there had been, things would have gone differently. Not that that would have been a happy state of affairs, but it might have helped him a bit.
Yeah yeah, I know what you mean, he could have come up with some other clever statement. But unfortunately it's a bit too late now. Then again, was that election even about who could sound the best? And how do we know he really lost?

6. He started doing that comparison last Sept. |
|
That was the first time he called this the Katrina Administration. (This was in a speech at Brown University. Great, great speech. Kerry really let loose on the Admin in that one.) I was at this speech in NH last night. It was good, but it wasn't as hard hitting as the September 19th one, which was written soon after Katrina happened and the incompetence of the Bush Admin was finally shown by the media.
I liked the speech last night. It played very well in the room. It was a nice event.
