Not to dwell on old news, but the 2004 Senate election results suck.
I can't stop thinking about how much easier it would be for us to take back the Senate if it hadn't been for some of the incredibly stupid decisions of the people of Oklahoma, South Carolina, Louisiana, and Alaska back in 2004. The fact that Tom Coburn is a United States Senator is embarrassing enough, but to think that it the margin could be one or two instead of FIVE just hurts.

1. Do you think people anywhere in the US were given the truth by newsmedia
from 2000 through 2005? This is a media who IGNORED the Downing Street Memos, fer chrissakes.

2. How do you know the people of OK, SC, LA, & AK are at fault?
Doesn't it seem just as reasonable to assume that the voting machines gave us the results? There's absolutely no reaspon to trust any voting result in this country at the moment. Even where there's a paper trail there's no required audit. If you have some exit polls that support the presumption that the "people" of these states are at fault, then maybe you have some justification.

But I've seen no evidence that people anywhere in this one-time democracy voted for the people who were elected anywhere beginning in 2002.

4. I don't think Lisa Murkowski won here...
I think that's why the our Division of Elections won't turn over the records to the Alaska Democratic Party for review, despite some really glaring inconsistencies.

5. Well, with Senators like Nelson (NE) you can add another
to that margin.

6. The vote was brazenly fixed
Official results of the 2004 congressional elections have little to do with reality.

Now,

Knowing the truth,

What are you going to do about it?
