IDEA! MANDATORY Drug testing for ALL those in political positions |
|
Including the highest branches, executive, judicial and legislative.
That would make for interesting politics to follow

I want to add the following...
When the give themselves a raise...the minimum waige must raise also... When they make drastic changes to medicaid/medicare their health plans must be impacted the same way.. When they cut funding for the reserve units and military in their states...they will forfeit pork barrel projects in their states..
If the country finds itself in another war... They must have no financial interest in any company that wins a contract with the government (This must be a law)
I am sure there are more...

10. In for a penny, in for a pound |

If laws are going to be made to govern the people, if bills are going to be struck down that apply to the people, they should have to follow those laws and deny themselves the very same things in the bills that lose on the house floor.

3. makes more sense than testing high-school kids |
|
and most of the jobs that use drug testing, too
hell, right after I got MY safe, non-security-related job, they implemented drug testing on ALL new employees...
so, my company has the legal right to analyze the urine of a prospective cleaning-crew member, but the people who sign war resolutions can be stoned out of their mind
I'm all for your plan! I'd go one step further, in fact, and have them take an alcohol breath test before their sessions begin
what are they gonna do? Complain about their rights being violated???

9. If you flunk a drug test in the military |
|
you will either not get a security clearance or you will lose the one you have.
The rationale would be if you will be in a position to have a security clearance you will get a drug test. bush shouldn't have a security clearance now.

is a major kick in the ass for a junior sailors career. For senior enlisted and officers it is a career ender. Its justification for not recommended for retention or promotion and potential non judicial punishment (assuming no one was hurt.)

A congress-critter (probably Repug) went on record as saying it would be a violation of their privacy.
Isn't THAT a hoot?
