Let me get this straight.... re: South Dakota.....
If a man breaks into your home, ties you up and rapes your wife, you both need to sit around for 9 months and have his child???

How fucked in the brains are these people anyway?

Well, no....
according to that one State Senator, an abortion MIGHT be allowed if:

*** Your wife was a teenager
*** Your wife was a virgin
*** Your wife is a Christian
*** She was also "brutally sodomized".

see?????

Perfectly reasonable :sarcasm:

9. Brutally spewing a load into the WRONG ORIFICE is grounds for abortion?!
:eyes:

Okay, HOW do the lil' tadpoles swim from either of those two, alternative but popular, orifices to get the victim pregnant?! I can fathom one way, but I'm not going into the gross details, sorry...

Isn't rape a crime against nature?! And one, legal, definition OF sodomy is "A crime against nature".

The law renders itself useless. Much like too many other laws to count.

29. Wait a minute
if my understanding of anatomy is correct, sodomy is unlikely to result in pregnancy.

I think this state senator got his jollies from thinking up these scenarios.

3. If you can get a prescription you can use the morning after pill
The problem is the victims are mostly going to be poor and not know what options they have

This is not only anti-women, but also anti-poor legislation

12. believe it or NOT, that is NOT illegal in South Dakota
you just have to find a doctor to write the prescription, and a pharmacist to fill it

That is what the govenor's office of South Dakota told me when I called, and told them what a backward state they were

14. One wonders, can you find a doctor who will prescribe?
With the way that pharmacists are opting out, even if you could find a doctor, it may not matter.

15. Are you being sarcastic?
It isn't an abortion. It is a contraceptive. If you're pregnant, nothing will happen, but if the embryo hasn't implanted yet, which means you're not pregnant, that will be prevented.

16. BUT LIFE BEGINS AT CONCEPTION!
Technically, to some, emergency contraception is abortion. The egg is fertilized...then forced out of the body.

25. 'Scuse me, but that is DEAD WRONG
If taken early enough in the cycle, the morning after pill suppresses ovulation. No ovum, no fertilization.

If taken after the follicle has produced an ovum and the rapist manages to fertilize it, the drug pervents implantation.

In either case, there is no implantation, no pregnancy, and (listen carefully) no abortion.

The morning after pill prevents abortion, get it?

In any case, I wonder why the reproductive slavery crowd always has to resort to BIG FAT LIES to tell their sheep.

Neither birth control pills nor the morning after pills cause abortion. Both of the prevent abortion.

10. We already have those.
They're called terrorist detainment centers. The people don't get trials and they're doing things that they feel neccesary to hide from the U.N. As I say, "If you're not horrified, you're not paying attention."

18. Good way to put it.
Seriously. I wonder this same thing all the time. Ok. A woman is forced to give birth to a rapist's child, but in all liklihood, it could end up causing the death of her marriage, at least on some level.

when the baby is born and the rapist is out of jail (if that even happens in SD) you have to give him visitation rights. SICK SICK SICK

28. Actually, I think it's written into the law somehow that the (convicted)
rapist would not have parental rights.
