Dems Still Cowards - Afraid To Give Feingold Support
We have Russ, we have Murtha, we have Kucinich & others but the rest are a bunch of cowards if they don't take this censure 100% and go with it.

What the hell are they waiting for?

Down to 36% & every possible screwup you could imagine.

2. If they don't take this seriously, Feingold will become the candidate of
the Democratic base in 2008.

3. This is why I want a non senator in 08 as our nominee.
Any vote or non vote will be pulled apart and be used to divide us instead of galvanizing the left.

5. Very little risk for the Dems--but they require no risk.

6. I think the Dems are doing the right t hing
If it wasn't for Conyer's impeachment effort the censure would be a great thing. However, with the impeachment movement out there, the GOP is going to say a vote for a Democrat in 2006 is a vote for impeachment. Lots of people want a check and balance on Bush and the GOP but far fewer would want to go as far as impeachment.

Censure will be confused with impeachment. The whole thing will backfire if it goes beyond the stunt stage. If everybody could just hang tight until November we could do way more to expose Bush's crimes, and not lose votes for it.

7. Courage, and ethics, are not "politically smart".
Gotta keep the bribe..er, campaign contributions rolling in, and watch the polls, to preserve their precious seats at the trough while dispensing platitudes and pleasantries to the public. My God, what do you expect? That they do what's obviously right?

Tsk, tsk, next you'll want them to actually represent us rather than the folks who pay them.
