Edwin Eisendrath...IL Gov. Candidate...Uses Cheney's Pic In His Ad

Eisendrath is a Progressive running against Rod Blagoyovich...and has run some pretty wicked commercials against his opponent attempting to tar Blago with the coruption taint of the Repugnicans. (The last Repugnican Governor, George Ryan faces his fate any day now...and a new roommate called Bubba).

Tonight he took a shot at Blago, but at the end of the commercial, instead of using George Ryan's picture as the epitome of corruption in Government, Eisendrath put up a picture of Dick Chenney. Sweeeeeet!!

Here's hoping more Democrats pick up this meme...tar their opponents with their close ties to this regime and make each and every Repugnican accountable for both their support of this regime and their own record of corruption.

Before he became Governor of Illinois he was the Illinois Secretary of State. Under his watch as Secy of State, anyone could get a CDL in Illinois if you paid a bribe. There was an accident in Wisconsin on I-94 that involved a trucker that had gotten his IL CDL by paying a bribe and six children were burned to death in front of their parents.

This accident put the heat on and the investigation began into "Licenses for Bribes" that ultimately led "poor George" to where he is right now.

I personally hope Ryan lives out his final days in the Stateville Correctional Center. He's scum....

5. I'm With Eisendrath, Too...

My daughter is a Golden Apple Scholar...a program designed to help encourage college students to go into teaching and gives them financial rewards and incentives to teach in public schools. It's primarily focused at the bigger school districts...helping minority kids get a college education, then turn them around and send them back into those schools as teachers. It's been a very successful and rewarding program. Blago initially cut all funding to the program...then after a lot of pressure from the Teachers Union and the Chicago Board Of Education was some of the funding restored...so she's got a real bitch to pitch.
