Why do we concern ourselves with possible negative impact of calling for Censure and Impeachment? Are we more concerned with politics or truth? We are in a battle for our Democracy. This battle cannot wait for an opportune time.
A US attack on Iran must be prevented. We must stop the killing of innocents in Iraq. We must not lose another American life in Iraq.
We must speak the truth now. It cannot wait.

1. First let me say: I'm a supporter of the censure resolution... |

...and I believe that the censure resolution is good politics for us.
But with respect to your question: Successful politicians are concerned with *both* politics and truth. They don't call 'em politicians for nothing. They are by their very nature compromisers who balance what is right versus what is politically expedient.
I'm not saying it's right. But it's true.

3. But I am not a politician. |

So I can ask for censure, impeachment, and the Truth. If we wait until it is politically expedient our hands will be bloodied with each new death. We can't say we didn't know because we do.
Katrina victims can't wait. Iraqi children can't wait. Seniors without prescriptions can't wait. Americans without healthcare can't wait.

4. It's a fine point that more need to grasp |

Every view has to be factored in, and we can only hope that the politicians whose moral compasses tilt toward the public good are the ones who prevail.

2. Truth is "too liberal" for most politicians. |
|
And, frowned as "impractical" and dangerous to their positions.
Also, getting upset by "collateral damage" (aka - dead people) shows that you're soft on Communis..er, crime..er, terrorism or something.
Not to mention that "democracy" is a nice concept but unpopular with the oligarchs who run the country.

5. IF THIS WERE A PRIZE FIGHT |

I WOULDN'T LOOK FOR A ONE PUNCH KNOCK OUT. YOU HAVE TO WORK ON THE OPPONENT, BEAT HIM IN TO SUBMISSION, AND THEN TURN HIM OVER TO THE DOGS. THEN YOU CAN SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.
CENSURE IS THE GUIDEON FOR DOING THIS.
