ALERT! C-Span: Al Gore's Fla Speech! 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm est /Tonight!
Edited on Sun Mar-19-06 05:29 PM by KoKo01
This is the speech he gave in Florida to a huge crowd this week and folks had signs saying "Al Gore/My President."

It was posted here this week that he had a great turnout and gave a fantastic speech...so all Al Gore supporters and those who justlike him should tune in or set your TIVO's.

I believe he hits Bush on all fronts and does his warnings about our Environmental Disaster. He gave the speech to folks who donated $50 or $100. and is giving the money to Dem Candidates who are running for office in 06.

3. Great pix from the FL speeches:

Former Vice President Al Gore shakes hands with supporters after speaking at a reception for Florida Democrats Sunday afternoon at the Kravis Center. In town to raise money for Florida Democrats, Gore cited 'impressions' the Bush administration created that, he said, turned out not to be true.

“I genuinely believe that American democracy faces a time of trial and challenge right now more serious than any,” former Vice President Al Gore said in West Palm Beach.

10. A big thanks for the heads up
Although I was able to read the transcript, I didn't get a chance to see him give the speech. From the clips I saw and the words I have read, this speech has the feel of a historical moment in time. Once again, thanks. :hi:

15. "Our Founding Fathers...Wrote a Document" and he goes on down
to ABUSES from "King George of England".....the willingness and ability of Members of Congress to Live up to their Oath of Office is tied to our ability to legislate from Congress.....

He goes now into asking if Florida wants a "rubber stam" of whatever Bushies WANT!

16. Gore is defending the Clinton Information about Saddam.............says
(I think) a "deflections" of the Clintons......but moved on to New Orleans.

I think he "copped" on Clinton's Saddam policy...but I think he differed from what the Sandy Berger's/Madeleine Albrights" wanted..

He moved on..(not sure what that was.)

18. He says///"There were WARNINGS that this Invasion would cause Economic
Deficits.........he says that everyone in the early Bush Administration though was WRONG!

The rising temperatures of our World are Raising Political Temperatures around the world. Are THOSE WARNINGS BEING IGNORED?

He's trying to say that Lack of Vision and lack of Checks and Balances are ALL TIED TOGETHER...and now we have GLOBAL WARNING.

Good Partisanship means that we JOIN TOGETHER AS AMERICANS TO JOIN WHAT's GOOD FOR THE COUNTRY! We have to do WHAT'S RIGHT FOR THE PEOPLE! (huge applause!)

He asks "How many of you have had the feeling that "something has gone bad wrong...that something strange is going on and that what's going on is "contrary to what USA is ALL ABOUT!)

He's now quoting George Washington...saying his DARK DAYS trying to bring forth a NEW NATION in dark times and British Soldiers were capture..and they gave some press report...

General Washington says: "NO WE ARE DIFFERENT! WE RESPECT THE DIGNITY OF INDIVIDUALS! We NEED TO BE TRUE TO OURSELVES....

Gore SAYS: EVERY PRESIDENT HONORED GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON...UNTIL NOW...WHERE WE TORTURE PEOPLE (under BUSH)....

24. I watched this twice today. I am just amazed by that man's transformation.
Honestly. He use to put me to sleep...literally, when he gave a speech. He was such a stuffed shirt, boring, and stiff. MY WORD HOW HE'S CHANGED!

AL GORE FOR PRESIDENT....RUSS FEINGOLD FOR VICE PRESIDENT.

That was ANOTHER GREAT SPEECH! Man, I hope he runs! He DESERVES to be president. He was elected once...that white house should be his. It's only right.:)

25. What is Gore President of???
You know, sometimes people have to be realistic.

Gore is nobody's President. We can wish he was President, we can hope he's President, we can work for him if he decides to run again or donate money.

However holding up signs saying "Al Gore; My President" re-enforces the stereotype that we're focused on 2000 and sour grapes as opposed to running in the future or coming up with a better plan for America.

27. He's the LEGITIMATE, ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.
Everyone knows it. He won the election. The BFEE's SCOTUS appointed the idiot-in-chief by stopping the recount. Not only that, Gore won the POPULAR vote by 500,000 votes. Gore IS the President. I have NEVER called the idiot "president", because he's NOT. He's NEVER been elected. He stole the 2000, 2002 and 2004 elections. That's a fact.

WHOSE stereotype are you talking about??? The REPUKES??? Who gives a RATS RATS what those wacko nut jobs think? I don't.
