IRAQ: Most Dangerous Place for Journalists in 2005
IRAQ: Most Dangerous Place for Journalists in 2005, CPJ (January 4, 2006)

According to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), Iraq was the deadliest place in the world for journalists in 2005. Twenty two journalists were killed in Iraq, representing nearly half of all journalists killed while working. The majority of deaths were the result of murder, ninety percent of which went unpunished. According to the CPJ, governments must do more to ensure protection for journalists.
