3. That's the thing
Nobody's telling them *not* to pray, we're just asking that they leave those who don't want to participate out of it.

I once read a funny t-shirt that said "as long as there are tests there will be prayer in schools". I was in high school then and I thought that pretty much summed things up.

21. Did you see their "moral code"?!
http://www.christian-underground.com/moral_code.php
"Right To Life: We believe that every human deserves the right to life—from conception to death—and that we do not have the right to kill unborn children nor to murder the elderly through active euthanasia. We do, however, support the death penalty. The Bible is clear that the government has the responsibility to provide for peace and security for its people. We also believe the government has the power to take the lives of those who murder others and to wage war against our enemies."

... so helping someone end thier life with dignity is sinful, but fry 'em all!!

5. I got no problem with that
Pray on the toilet for all I care.

But the second it becomes MANDATED prayer, sanctioned by any kind of public official, then I got a BIG problem.

And oooo, isn't he scary-looking? I'm trembling so much I can hardly type this.

If anyone, anywhere in the country, is not praying when and as directed by the Talibangelicals, then all Christians are being persecuted.

11. Yeah, isn't it called "HELL?"
That ad is just plain stupid. NO ONE, but no one that I have heard of, has tried to deny Christians the right to pray "when they want, where they want." Prayer is personal. Do it all the freakin' time for all I care. Just don't demand that my non-Christian kids have to take part in it, lose class-room while you partake in your rituals, etc, etc.

This is a classic straw man, Christian style.

From their main page:

Being a Christian in modern America is becoming more and more a dangerous thing. Christians in the workplace, children in our schools, leaders in our community, are penalized (Some times prosecuted) for standing up for their Christian held beliefs.

16. OMG talk about a faux persecution complex
From the site:

"I chose this name as a practical reality as well as in a small way a political statement. Being a Christian in modern America is becoming more and more a dangerous thing. Christians in the workplace, children in our schools, leaders in our community, are penalized (Some times prosecuted) for standing up for their Christian held beliefs. This trend is growing faster and faster."

Damn, just damn, that's all I have to say. Who is persecuting these people? Who is denying them their right to pray where ever they want? What, are there Americans who are throwing Christians to the lions?

It is these type of idiots who give Christianity a bad name. They can't peacefully co-exist with non-Christians, for to do so is somehow threatening them, and persecuting them.

Jesus Christ, please, save me from your followers.

College boys had dark side, dabbled in occult, say friends...................

Cloyd wrote to Moseley last summer, as the two planned a road trip: "Let us defy the very morals of society instilled upon us by our parents, our relatives and of course Jesus."

About the same time, DeBusk and Moseley started dabbling in the occult, according to a report by Religion News Service. They told friends they were Satanists on a hunt for knowledge.

The trio was arrested last Wednesday in connection with a string of church fires in central and west Alabama.

These Creepers ARE creepy.

28. Are they all going to the War on Christians Conference?
News Advisory:

On March 27 - 28, Vision America's The War On Christians Conference will convene at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The conference is not only the first to address growing attacks on Christians, but will include discussions of every aspect of the War on Christians, including -- Hollywood, the news media, the courts and groups like the ACLU and Anti-Defamation League.

Besides celebrated conservative leaders like Alan Keyes, Gary Bauer, Sen. John Cornyn, Phyllis Schlafly, Sen. Sam Brownback and Rep. Tom DeLay, the conference will feature timely and informative panel discussions.

Among the latter is "Jews Confront the War on Christians." Said Vision America President Rick Scarborough: "I am heartened that these Jewish leaders, activists and intellectuals are making common cause with conservative Christians. They understand that attacks on Christians ultimately are attacks on Judeo-Christian morality."

Speaking on the "Jews Confront The War On Christians" panel are Rabbi Aryeh Spero (an Orthodox rabbi from New York City and a champion of traditional values), Michael Howowitz (a Hudson Institute scholar who's spoken out against the persecution of Christians in the Sudan and elsewhere), Joseph Ben Ami (executive director, of the Institute for Canadian Values) and Don Feder (who's both the president of Jews Against Anti-Christian Defamation and the communications director of Vision America.) The moderator is Jeff Ballabon of the New York-based Center for Jewish Values.

The War on Christians conference will also present the following panels:

-- The Gay Agenda: America Won't Be Happy

-- The ACLU And Radical Secularism: Driving God From Our Public Life

-- Christian Persecution: Reports From The Frontlines

-- Hollywood: Christians Through A Distorted Lens

-- The News Media: Megaphone For Anti-Faith Values

-- The Judiciary: Overruling God

-- Taking Our Faith To The Ballot Box

For more information on The War On Christians conference (including a schedule with confirmed speakers) go to http://www.visionamerica.us.

30. Google considers this twit's other "newsletter" website HATE SPEECH.
I didn't know he had another website, first heard of it when I Googled

"christian underground" alain

after seeing he used just his first name as the website admin at Christian Underground, on the page with that website's "moral code."

That search turned up a results page mentioning what Google had said about his other website, alainsnewsletter.com, but I had to search a bit more to find the page there that actually had the reply he got from Google when he had the unbelievable arrogance to ask them last week to include alainsnewsletter.com in Google News.

That page is at

http://www.alainsnewsletter.com/article.php?id=193

and this is the reply he got from Google, re his newsletter site:

Thank you for your note. We've reviewed your site and cannot include it in Google News at this time. While we make an effort to provide a well-rounded perspective on controversial topics by including sites that represent contrasting points of view, we do not include sites that contain hate speech.

Thank you for taking the time to write.

Regards,
The Google Team

Kudos to the Google Team. I don't think a bigot like Alain, demanding to be treated as a serious news source, deserved such apparent civility...but since they were blunt about Alain peddling hate speech, I think their civility was really sarcasm.

Another website of a bunch of fucking bigots.

Homosexuality, Bi-Sexuality, Transgenderism, And Other Deviant Sexual Behaviors: The Bible clearly condemns all sexual behaviors outside of marriage between one man and one woman. Homosexual behavior is explicitly condemned in both the Old and New Testaments as an abomination and a violation of God's standards for sexuality. We oppose the normalization of sodomy as well as cross-dressing and other deviant sexual behaviors in our culture.

37. Sorry, not my kind of Christian (from a lapsed Christian's pov).
Old testament, yes I might concede that homosexuality was outlawed, but that's Moses's code. but cross-dressing? I guess the Vatican better correct the monks and the nuns who wear the same kind of clothing - a habit. Some newer religious communities that are more co-ed than they have been in the past make it that the men and the women wear exactly the same kind of clothing.

Besides, I think the Church has better priorities to deal with. Weight Jesus's teachings appropriately, do more about poverty. In all the words in the New Testament about homosexuality, there's one sentence about it and that's ambiguous too.

Mark.

The usual Bibliodolatry, paganized and occultized 'Christianity', and bigotry they pretend justified by ancient Hebrew teachings. IOW, more affirmative action for bigotted white men. (Yes, I'm a white man. And raised Christian.)

I wish they would raise both hands to the sky like their pagan ancestors did when they 'pray', and speak the demands and curses out loud like these ancestors did. That is their true 'tradition' and would be quite the demon-stration of what they really want and believe.

Did I mention that they're invariably losers?
