The Freedom Toast (again) |
|
I haven't received my copies yet, but they did put up a few excerpts of the songs on their website. They actually got a Sinatra sound-alike to sing "Strangers on the Right," a Bush sound-alike to sing "I've been working on Vacation," and "Home on the Range" and a biting anti-Iraq invasion version of "When Johnnie Comes Marching Home" except now it's "When Johnnie Comes Rolling Home:"
The White House thinks they did the job, IRAQ, IRAQ They never heard our Johnnie sob, IRAQ, IRAQ They never found what they went to find And they give no thought to those left behind Bush will not be there when Johnnie comes rolling home
Or something like that.
Yup, Rove will not be pleased!

2. One toasted website, coming up! |
|
Sorry about that! I am working overseas and four hours of sleep per night does not make for optimal functioning at 11 PM if you have been up since 4 AM.
www.thefreedomtoast.com
If there is any justice, these guys will sell five million of these CDs and donate a good bunch of it to Democratic candidates/committees or whatever it is you're allowed to donate to these days--that is if Cheney and Rove don't sent them to Abu Ghraib first!
Thanks for the welcome! I am still semi-dialled-in to Washington, since my father knew everybody and their brother back there, but we lost him a little over five years ago, and I'm over here while time marches on.

5. Doctor has ordered me to stay away from cheese |
|
for the rest of natural born days, which nearly ended a few years ago because I had too much French cheese up til then (2 coronary arteries 99% blocked, got stents put in JUST in time to avoid a major heart attack).
I'll miss it greatly, but bettre to miss cheese than the rest of my life!
I think the Sing Along With The Democrats and Sing Along With The Republicans idea was very sneaky, as BOTH albums seem to bash the Republicans, although I'll bet that half of the Republicans won't even notice that the Bush sound-alike is making fun of him (such a sad state of affairs).

I'm not allowed to have French Toast any more, either, much less the stuff on the Freedom Toast logo (whatever it is, it looks very little like heath food).
