Rep. John Conyers: New Iraq Strategy Released: Blame the Media
This must be the new talking point, blame the media. More reporters have been killed in Iraq than any conflict since WWII. Yet Ingraham sez stuff like:

"I think....with all the resources of NBC, the Today Show spends all this money to cover the Olympics...all this money on where in the world is matt lauer..bring the today show to Iraq...when you see the villagers, talk to the children, then I want NBC to (not) report only on the IED's, only on the killings....instead of reporting from hotel balconies about the latest IEDs going off."

Here's Rep.John Conyers take on this.

Every once in a while you see something on the network morning shows that makes you spit out your milk. This morning, on NBC's Today show, White House correspondent David Gregory, apparently subbing for Matt Lauer, opened a segment entitled: "Are Americans Getting a Fair Picture of What is Happening in Iraq."

The war in Iraq has proved to be the deadliest for journalists since World War II. A total of 86 journalists and media assistants have been killed in Iraq since the war began on 20 March 2003. This is more than the number killed during 20 years of war in Vietnam or the civil war in Algeria.

1. Ultimate Irony for the media
After the MSM ran interference for the administration with Iraq, now they get the blame for it - and rightfully so!
Maybe now the gullible media will wake TF up and get tough - do their damn job.

2. I hope it's true! And I hope they rub it in!
And I hope the media wakes the hell up, smells the cappuccino and realizes what side their croissant is buttered on!

I just can't understand why they put up with this and still remain loyal to that Rat Bastard and his Cronies!!!

6. They better stop just talking
And pull out all the stops! I'm sure they are sitting on a wealth of information! And if not, it's time to do some REAL investigative journalism! I doubt many of the new story tellers (they ARE NOT journalists!) know how to do that.

4. Old dogs don't learn new tricks
This is what they did for Vietnam. They blew smoke up everyones assess about how we were on the verge of victory with a crippled VC ready to surrender. Then they launch the Tet offensive. People realize they are a bunch of fucking liars, but there are still holdouts who believe that we could have one if not for the liberal media and the VC were honestly, really on the verge of surrender after the Tet offensive.

Now they are doing it with Iraq.

I guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it?
