or an unsafe bunkbed that collapses or a Pinto that blows up, or Vioxx?

My point is that I think the easiest way of ridding ourselves of the biggest threat to democracy (electronic voting machines) is a class action product liability lawsuit. These machines simply do not work as promised - they are unreliable, insecure, and vulnerable to hacking. On these pages today are problems being reported with different machines in different states - California, Texas and Illinois. The taxpayers of any state that has invested in these expensive, malfunctioning ripoffs deserve a refund for the monies that they have already spent.
