I Love Helen! Curious About Something . . . . . . |
|
Why is she more "visible" now? CNN, MSRNC, Imus, etc. More to come? I sure as hell hope so! I wanted to do a poll, but couldn't come up with a reason why she is "in the news" now, so I'm just puttin' this out there. Why do you think we are hearing from her now? Or more to the point, why is she no longer censored, at least not like she has been for 3+ years? As to her question at yesterday's press conference, I think if someone would have asked her before that, "What would you ask * if he suddenly decided to call on you at a press conference"?, she would have asked just exactly the question she did. In my opinion, she realized that she may never be called on anyone in this "administration" ever again. This was her chance, and she wasn't going to blow it, no way.

4. Because the Monkey IGNORED her for three full years |
|
And he childishly let people know that he wouldn't call on her. When he did that horrible press conference with the scripted questions, and the special seating chart, Ari (it was still Ari) put her in the back row...BANISHED.
Now, the Monkey is trying to get his ratings up by being gracious to the "old dame"--so his minions can point to mean old Helen and say, SEE??? He's NICE....
He used her as a foil to give a mini-speech--he didn't answer her question, he just threw out some high dudgeon and acted all hurt that she might think he wanted war. Then, he goes to WVA and said it was HIS CHOICE to go to war....go figure!!!!!!!!!!!!

5. I LOVE Helen Thomas ... |
|
I do think Ms. Thomas is "putting herself out there" a little more at the moment as she has a book coming out. Heard her on an NPR program last evening; she was wonderful as usual.
i'm just enjoying seeing a little more of her.

9. What's wrong with promoting one's... |
|
... book or your message?
Ummm, yes she does have an agent; I have no doubt that the agent has made "those in the media" aware that Ms. Thomas would be available ... why would this be a bad thing?
I wouldn't have been aware of the release of her book with out this increased presence.
She also made a little "joke" about her "shameless self promotion," I don't think she's shamelessly promoting herself, but I DO think she is promoting herself and that is a good thing.
