1. Here's what I zapped out to him.... |

Yes, it is definitely not only a good strategy to call for impeachment of Bush but something that must be done.
This man is waging war in Afghanistan and illegally in Iraq. He MUST be stopped before he starts a third war in Iran.

4. done....here's my reply.... |

When I think back to the 2000 election, and what has transpired since then, anything that would get this country out of the grips of a bunch of amoral, power-hungry, sociopaths.....would be a good thing....democratic or not.

Is a call for impeachment a good Democratic strategy?
It's a good democratic strategy. Maybe the only strategy, not for party, but for the United States and its constitution.
Bush has made it plain we have no other recourse, no other way to stop him from destroying us.
Bush is a war criminal heading a crime syndicate of an administration.
Bush is a corporate raider carving up the United States and selling off its assets.
Bush let Americans die of THIRST on the streets of an American city. And a new hurricane season is coming. And the Gulf is still very very warm.
Bush will let ANY OF US die because he cares nothing for us. Any of us. Our soldiers, our workers, our elderly, our children. Our pets.
How else can we protect ourselves from this oddly heartless 'leader?' Bush is the man whose answer to any problem is not a solution, but more intense PR.
What is utterly, desperately tragic is that the Republicans have put party before country, before the constitution, before the safety of us all.
If the Democrats do not speak up to end this criminal enterprise, then the majority of Americans are left without a voice, without representation.
How can that be a good Democratic strategy?

6. Done, here's my 2 cents |

I don't know about good strategy, but it's the right thing to do; impeach Bush now. Bush has broken the law and he is in willful violation of the U. S. Constitution. If the Republicans had any sense they would do it before the Democrats get the chance.

Impeachment shouldn't be a Democratic or Republican issue. It is an issue about the rule of law. This President has repeatedly broken International and National Law and must be held accountable. To turn a blind eye to his crimes and misdemeanors would be un-Patriotic regardless of what party you belong to. Thank you for being there Jack!
