After watching a few minutes of Bush's speechifying today, one word came to mind.
It's beyond angering, beyond worrisome, beyond ridiculous.
He's become Tiresome.
It's obviously more than unfortunate that he's our nation's leader, so that is not meant to trivialize it.
But compared to the days when his appearances caused some reaction, he now seems increasingly irrelevant and tiresome. Knowing that now only a minority supports him, he seems more and more like a spurned suitor futilely trying to win back a lover who has deserted him after being disappointed too many times. "But,but, but I'm still the same guy you used to love. Give me another chance. Please, pretty please."

2. NOW let's make sure they push him out there, |
|
24/7, with "new" speeches, "major speeches", "A New Vision for Iraq", A REAL re-make of the Middle East", a "Fabulous opportunity to push democracy on Iraq", and so on and on.
I hope Bush schedules a New Speech each and every day. One at 9:00 a.m., and one at 2:00 pm for the people who missed the morning event.
That way, he will be sure to cover all the bases and make people sick in a fair, democratic way.
Naturally, all his speeches will just be warmed-over garbage spewed from the week before. Bush's speeches will now be used as a punishment. For the little boy who broke Mom's crystal vase, to the suspected felon who they're trying to extract a confession from. Believe me, the felon will confess if he's made to listen to another Bush speech.
About 5 minutes should do it.

4. Lifelong GOPer: I voted for him 2X & now I don't know why. He's stupid. |
|
This was from the guy teaching my adult ed cooking class at the local high school.
The thing is, the more Bush speechifies, with his smirks and his glares, and his insipid or obviously delusional observations, the more people he turns against him.

6. My very apolitical mom told me she can't stand to look at his stupid face. |
|
Said she changes the channel whenever he comes on, because he's, as she put it, "so annoying and I just- eeyugh. Can't stand to even look at him".
