Bush given "thunderous applause" today during speech.. |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 10:49 PM by TwoSparkles
I was listening to an ABC news update in the car and they were discussing Bush's speech that he gave today. The news report noted that after Bush said that we will not leave Iraq until the job is done---the entire audience broke out in thunderous applause.
While Junior speaks to hand-picked audiences who unanimously give him "thunderous applause"-- more than 60 percent of this country thinks it was wrong to go to war with Iraq. He's sitting at around 35 percent approval rating.
I find it sickening that Junior exists in a world where he is inundated with "thunderous applause." If he was out on the street, talking with a true cross section of the American public and listening to America--he would not be met with "thunderous applause."
He would be asked the tough questions. He would be challenged. He would be told that he is violating the Constitution. He would be laughed at. He would be sneered. Yes, he has his followers and his devoted fan--we are all aware that 35 percent of this country approves of him. However, these people are a minority.
It sickened me today--to hear that this thug--who is supposed to represent the will of the people--lives in a world that insulates him from THE PEOPLE.
Sorry for the rant babble...I'm just really sick of ALL of this.

May have been an applause tape played over the PA system.
It's not as rare as you might think.

...about the man who stood up and "thanked God every day" that Bush is our leader.
Is he thanking God for the torture or for the murder of innocent Iraqi children?

5. You realize that he is NOT insulated in that way? |
|
Those "B*sh-lovers Only" speeches aren't for him; they are for US. Fiction to influence the public.
They are created for the sole purpose of showing them on TV, and writing about 'thunderous applause' in articles such as the one you mention.

every day a law broken....
And the good Germans cheered their Furher!!! (This is what it's like, you see pictures of the attendees and they have a glazed look in their eyes.....I don't understand it...)
Rant on....it's good to get it out of your system....
That insulation that * has around him won't last forever....because that is all he has....Perhaps that's who the Democrats need to go after...Rummy, Rove (who has been suspiciously quiet of late)Condi and Cheney....I am starting to think if we remove these cards from the card house the whole thing is going to crumble.... :grouphug:

8. His approval rating here in WV........ |
|
where he made his "thunderous applause" speech today, is sitting at an impressive:sarcasm: 41%! People here aren't buying the lie anymore. I think two fatal mine disasters and the steady decline of jobs and wages are finally waking folks up here in the Mountain State.

In WV as they gave out extra tickets just yesterday for it to Ohio residents.
I agree, I can't wait for the time when the applause dies and he is asking himself "Where did everybody go?".

13. Detaching more and more from reality. |
|
This ain't good for us....or him. These ego events might make him feel good, but they don't reflect reality. I cannot think of anything more cynical than to force families of servicemen to be a political backdrop? Are they true believers? I suppose many are....I think you'd go crazy if you start thinking that your loved ones are cannon fodder for Republican politics. I wonder how many in prior events have lost loved ones and are no longer willing to provide this guy background dressing?
